"We, The People" T-Shirt
Introducing the first design in our National Pledge Series, the "We, The People" T-shirt. This comfortable and stylish shirt is perfect for showing your support for our country and its values. Please note: these t-shirts run small, so we recommend sizing up if you are in between sizes. Our Intentional Design:
The "We, The People" T-shirt is the first product of our National Pledge Series.
Our Intentional design on this shirt is inspired by the first line of the National Pledge of Papua New Guinea: “ We, the people of Papua New Guinea pledge ourselves united in one nation…”
You can find this first line of the pledge on the back of the T-shirt as well as the Full National Pledge included on the tag of the shirt.
In the right square of this design, you will see a Huli Wigman face painted with yellow and red clay. Huli Wigmen are from Hela province, located in the North West of Papua New Guinea.
In the left square is an Eastern Highlands Woman’s face painted in bright colors with tree oils and plant dyes.
In the middle of these two faces is a design that was inspired by the many styles of Headdresses worn all over Papua New Guinea, from the Highlands to the Lowlands.
We hope this design draws immediate attention to the beauty of the faces and the colorful culture of the People of Papua New Guinea.
