Giraun Bilong Kumul T-Shirt

Our Giraun Bilong Kumul T-shirt was designed with two main things in mind: quality and simplicity. We designed this t-shirt to feel comfortable when wearing it in the tropical climate of Papua New Guinea and incorporated performance material into the shirt with a 95% cotton and 5% spandex blend. We intentionally chose to keep our design small and to avoid a loud and large graphic on the T-shirt. By doing this, our goal was to create a shirt that could easily match and go with any outfit of the day. 

Although the graphic on this t-shirt is small, we are proud of the strong symbols incorporated into the design itself. Within the letters of PNG is our National Bird, The Bird of Paradise. The Bird of Paradise is a symbol of National Wealth within our Country. This Symbol is found on our Country’s flag and is familiar to every Papua New Guinean. 

You may also notice the southern Cross that is incorporated into the design. The Southern Cross is a constellation that can be seen all over our Country and is a symbol of our tropical location within the southern hemisphere. 

The words on the graphic say “Papua New Guinea, Giruan Bilong Kumul” meaning “the land of the Bird of Paradise”. 

This is a unifying term that speaks to the Papua New Guinean pride of belonging to a culturally rich nation. Mipla pikinini kumul na em giraun bilong kumul.
